The Arteries of the Rainforest are, collectively, most of the major rivers in the Laqto Rainforest. The term refers to all those that flow into the Okoton Estuary, as well as to their many tributaries. The largest of these are, from west to east, the Okoton, Hesh, Shuwala, Takitu, Seha, and Okelga rivers, all of which begin in either the Fangs of Khurazar or the Southern Fangs. They meander their way through the rainforest, wide, slow-moving, and frequently silt-laden.
The Arteries are important avenues of travel and trade through the Laqto. Nearly all major settlements in the rainforest are along, or near, these rivers.
