Ahharku (pronounced ah-HAR-coo) is a small city in central Hkarzda. Established by the descendants of Viridian janissaries who settled in the Silverwood Hills, effectively the entire population of Ahharku is orcish. Well-defended and in an opportune location, the city serves as the closest equivalent to a capital in Hkarzda - the orcish clans who support the breakaway khanate often meet in Ahharku to engage in negotiations, exchange prisoners, and plan raids against their rivals.
The city of Ahharku is in reality little more than a large stone hillfort surrounded by clan estates. Its population is extremely spread out, only congregating in the city center for markets, festivities, and other special occasions.
