Sircathe Wriys (pronounced sir-CATH RICE) is the ruler of the Erenite city of Wymoor. Wriys is a divisive figure in Erenon. Some see him as a beacon of stability for the future and effectively the de facto ruler of the province, while others consider his control of Wymoor and the broader area to be despotic. He governs Wymoor with a firm hand through the actions of his loyal guards, especially the Emerald Ravens.
Wriys carefully cultivates the persona of a watchful guardian. His rule has been marked by the capture and show trials of those who he claims are Viridian agents sent to aid the Dominion's re-annexation of the province. The guards of Wymoor enforce his laws through force, though they have been known to engage in bribery and protection rackets themselves, seemingly either without Wriys' knowledge or with his tacit approval.
Many credit the acceleration of the resettlement of Erenon to Wriys' actions. In the mid 9900s, the slow trickle of people into the province grew significantly after Wriys began to send messengers out to Viridia and Forloroth & Valadhel claiming the region to now be safe and full of riches for those bold enough to seize them. Despite attempts by the rulers of the Dominion and United Provinces to halt these messengers, their missives still spread and the city of Wymoor, as well as other regions within Erenon, began to expand greatly.
In Y9975*, Wriys at first worked alongside and then against Gavros Saekoll in restarting a broken teleportation site near the ruined city of Restone. Seeking the power and security of having a working teleportation site, Wriys collaborated with Saekoll until he became aware that Saekoll intended to fix the magical site through the power of countless souls, collected by unleashing the Restone Plague and Euphoric Insanity once more. Once Saekoll's plans came to light, Wriys and a group of adventurers formed a begrudging alliance to stop his efforts. Though Saekoll was able to release the Euphoric Insanity into the population of Wymoor, he was stopped from doing so with the Restone Plague as well. Wriys publicly lauded the adventurers for their efforts, but privately sees them as a threat to his power - he now seeks to reestablish his image as a strong autocrat, which he views as undermined by the adventurers.
