Celsus Asellus (pronounced KEL-soos ah-SELL-loos) is a member of the Asellus Viridian senatorial family and, as of Y9976*, the governor of the city of Carmora. Though an astute merchant and negotiator, his skills at bringing wealth to the city and his family have been offset by his penchant for funding ill-conceived projects, such as the half-complete Lighthouse of the Two Horizons that sits offshore from Carmora's port. Still, he is quite popular with the city's residents, and despite his follies has retained their strong support.
