The Prince of Carrion is an enigmatic pirate leader of the Western Coast. Very little is conclusively known about him - they are presumed to be male, given the name, and likely human, but none have ever seen the Prince in person. The Prince communicates exclusively by skeletal messenger birds, and efforts to track those are met with only frustration. From their hideout, wherever that might be, the Prince directs a vast network of resources, his influence stretching far and wide along the Western Coast. He seems concerned with wealth acquisition primarily, ordering his underlings to siphon gold, precious gems, and other materials from the smuggling networks across the Chaska Sea. Sometimes he commands the assassination of presumed rivals as well.
Records of the Prince of Carrion date back to at least Y9414*. Some believe the moniker to have been adopted by a succession of figures, each calling themselves the Prince upon the death of the previous, but this is generally discarded by most owing to the remarkable stability in the Prince's demands and orders. So too is commonly rejected the theory the Prince is undead, as they seem to have material needs as if they were amongst the living.
