Shervarok (pronounced sher-VAH-rock) is one of the Grievous Islands, an archipelago within the Wounds. Though somewhat sizable - roughly 10 miles across at the widest - and perfectly inhabitable, the dwarves of Harv Taruhm nonetheless avoid it, never taking their vessels too close to its beaches. This is largely out of superstition and fear. The hilly interior of the island is covered in decaying ancient terraces, believed to possibly though not conclusively have been the work of the Tomb-Builders, which the Taruhmite dwarves consider to have been punished with destruction after attracting the ire of their gods at some point in the distant past.
