The Copper River begins in the Kheldezir Hills before flowing out to the Chaska Sea. The Tamkaranu colony of Ellu has grown inland along the river, and many small towns have been established near its banks to extract timber and ore from the surrounding lands. The Copper River is regularly traveled by barges bringing supplies upriver and raw materials towards the coast.
The city of Gallakene sits at the mouth of the Copper River.
Not much of the titular metal has been found in significant amounts around the Copper River, beyond long since depleted deposits near its mouth. However, small fragments and chunks of gold are sometimes found in the riverbed, thought to have originated in the Kheldezir Hills to the south and west.
