Tethys (pronounced TEH-this) is a storm giant hermit that lives on an island within the territory of the Philiraki Giant Princes, to the northwest of the settlement of Kataigida. She lives in a half-flooded seaside cave on the island, leaving only to gather food and firewood. Tethys is regularly visited by some of the giant princes of the region who seek out her knowledge - somehow, without ever stepping foot off her island, Tethys manages to always be extremely well informed about the ongoing events in the wider world.
Tethys is known to be at least three thousand years old - the source of her apparent immortality is unknown.
