The 'Tela River (pronounced TEH-lah) is a river that begins in the Banai Mountains before flowing out to the Chaska Sea. The independent city state of Arward is located at the mouth of the river, and many caravans traveling the Golden Way follow the river for part of their journey.
The regional language Telan is named after the Tela River, as the language originated long ago among the peoples living around the river.
