The Four Thousand Eyes under Samudra Raksa has given itself the task of protecting the ports of the Blacksand Archipelago. Ships of the Four Thousand Eyes guard the islands from outsiders who would seek to control the pirates and their enablers, effectively privateering the privateers. Raksa has drilled the pirates under her command to be extremely coordinated, implementing a military-like command structure.

Location

The Four Thousand Eyes is mostly active within the Kilche Sea, preying on the merchant vessels that travel its busy trade routes. Ships of the Eyes often guard the ports of the Blacksand Archipelago from privateers or wayward pirates who would seek to disrupt the balance of power in the islands.

History

An alliance of pirate crews, most of whom are local to the Blacksand Archipelago, the Four Thousand Eyes was formed in Y9945* to counter the increasing attacks endured by the ports of the islands. Since Samudra Raksa took control in Y9951*, the Eyes have become a highly trained, almost professional navy.

Interests and activities

While the Four Thousand Eyes are as interested in enriching themselves as the other pirates of the Blacksand League, they serve a dual purpose as the protectors of the Blacksand ports. Crews frequently work rotations, spending part of the year patrolling the archipelago and the rest plying the trade routes of the Kilche. Even the pirates that remain near the islands profit greatly, as the inhabitants of the port communities have been coerced into compensating the pirates for their protection.

Ships

The flagship of the Eyes is the All the Stars in the Sky.

The Four Thousand Eyes use a variety of vessels, with a preference for large, slower yet heavily armed junks.

Relations

The Four Thousand Eyes generally remains neutral in disagreements between the other pirate leaders of the League, making decisions that best favor the inhabitants of the islands.

Tarkuus and the Eyes remain on neutral terms, rarely having a need to involve themselves in the affairs of the other.
