Tiyaz (pronounced tey-YAZH) was an itinerant prophet of the Blind Witness who lived in Brightmarch during the 34th century. Little information has survived on Tiyaz as a person - even aspects as basic as their ancestry are not known with certainty, though they are often thought of as elven - but a significant corpus of his writing has endured the ages. Reproductions of his tablets are treated as by followers of the Blind Witness as some of the most fundamental explanations of their beliefs, and Tiyaz as the closest the highly decentralized faith has to a religious authority. In fact there are no confirmed records of the Blind Witness prior to Tiyaz, though the prophet's writings are so often phrased as dialogues with the past works of others that the god is presumed to have had quite the history in earlier centuries as well.

Towards the end of his life Tiyaz is said to have turned into an eagle and flown into the night sky, settling in the star-void of his god.
