Sanagoria (pronounced sah-nah-GORE-ee-ah) is a small city located along the Garen River on the north coast of the Phiora Sea, between Talam Galta and Druzda. It was originally settled several millennia ago by colonists from Hellea, though it has been periodically abandoned and reestablished in the centuries since as fortunes change. Sanagoria is a relatively quiet community, its inhabitants making their living from farming and fur trapping, the any surpluses of which are sent downriver to Tanais where they are then traded to the broader world.
Many centaurs live around Sanagoria, though few in the city itself. The largely human population of the city has cultivated good relations with local centaur tribes, trading foodstuffs in exchange for protection from the dangerous wildlife of the northern woods.
