The Bakhu Mountains (pronounced BAH-coo) are a major mountain range to the southeast of Khapesh. The mountains continue north from the Skysprings around Xatabra, running almost parallel to the Kilche Sea for a time before gradually tapering away.
Rough, craggy, and extremely dry, the Bakhu Mountains are almost devoid of population. Some Seshem kasatha clans camp near the mountains at times, but almost never cross them. Due to their relative proximity to Khapesh, in the distant past some ancient tombs were carved into certain cliff faces within the mountains, yet those that dwell within have almost entirely been forgotten.
