Wayfaring Nyala (pronounced nigh-AH-la), also known as Nyala of the Ninety-Nine Mountains, is a former gnoll adventurer that now resides in Yarma. Today she serves as a guide and advisor to the city's less proficient adventurers, providing them with leads as well as insights gained from her years of experience.
Nyala's epithet originates from her past life as an adventurer, specifically from her desire to summit the hundred tallest peaks of the Fangs of Khurazar. Severely injured in Y9968* after attempting to climb Vindius Peak by the mutated yrthak that nest there, she eventually made it back to Yarma where she has remained since. Nyala still intends to complete her goal one day, though for now she is content to aid other adventurers in their own quests.
Nyala does not originally hail from Yarma. She grew up with a nomadic tribe in the Sangora Desolation north of Oscan, before setting out to find her own path in life as a young adult.
