Nedem Roughwind (pronounced NEH-dem) is the current lord-mayor of Bratun, a city in the United Provinces of Forloroth & Valadhel. Over his fifty years in office he has been instrumental in furthering the normalization of relations between Viridia and the breakaway provinces, and the number of Viridian merchants visiting Bratun has almost returned to the same level as prior to the war of independence. Viridian emissaries have taken to communicating through Roughwind when attempting diplomatic efforts, largely due to his perceived sympathies towards the Dominion. This perception is intentionally cultivated by Roughwind, however, as he greatly enjoys his current status and position and has no desire to bend to the interests of either Viridia or the governors of the United Provinces.
