Axius (pronounced AXE-ee-us) is an isolated settlement within the Wastes of Yasdzah. Similarly to nearby Zumludrenos, the community is built around a large underground complex. Unlike Zumludrenos, however, at some point in the past the ancient structure started to decay, worsening until it reached the point that its former inhabitants were forced to leave and return to the surface. Today the people of Axius live above their old home, in buildings designed to keep the worst hazards of the Wastes at bay. The city has little connection with the outside world, though it does trade occasionally with Zumludrenos and a handful of other, smaller settlements within the Wastes.
