Pencari {{Pronunciation|pen-CAH-ree} is the anadi captain of the Deck of Many Things. Unlike the ship's proprietors, Apyaar Konsi and Xahar Rsphed, Pencari has no dealings with the merchant ship's many customers. Instead, she prefers to remain either behind the wheel or on shore leave - it is no secret to any of the other crew of the Deck of Many Things that Pencari only joined the ship out of a desire to see the world.
On board the Deck of Many Things, Pencari almost always remains in her natural spider-like form, though she usually assumes a human form when away from the ship.
