Selein (pronounced sell-EEN), born Selein Whitestone, is a dwarven hero-goddess of geodes, crystals, and beauty of the underground. Born in the Viridian city of Sadris, she now resides within and rules the underground community of Ametrenia.
Description
Selein is a very new hero-god, having only attained her divinity sometime around Y9950*. Still rather young by dwarven standards, Selein Whitestone made her name as an explorer of the Darklands, charting the depths in search of hidden sights. Selein strongly believes the underground has been unfairly maligned as the abode of terrible aberrations and monsters, and has sought to introduce the world to its scenic and beautiful aspects.
Selein is quite short, even by dwarven standards. Rather unassuming in appearance aside from her platinum-colored hair, Selein usually wears austere garb in order to travel the underground world without drawing attention to herself.
The massive geode in which Ametrenia is built was discovered by Selein in Y9942*.
Location of worship
Selein currently resides in the subterranean geode-city of Ametrenia. The inhabitants of Ametreniaboth worship Selein and look to her as a social and political leader. Outside Ametrenia, Selein has a small number of followers scattered across Viridia, Hellea, and the Western Coast of the Chaska Sea. Most of her devotees are fellow dwarves, usually those who work in professions that relate to exploration or crystals.
