Peleset (pronounced PELL-eh-set) is a now-sunken island within the Akrotirian Isles, in the southern parts of the Chaska Sea.
The island, though small, was once home to a number of prosperous maritime communities. In Y6645 the island and everything on it sank into the sea, a result of a massive cavern in the Darklands below collapsing. Some evidence points to this event as having been intentional, but the gugs and other hostile denizens of the Darklands have managed to keep away any who would wish to investigate.
The descendants of the survivors from Peleset now form the Peleset Union. Though some scavengers occasionally pass by Peleset to search the ruins of the sea floor, the area has no permanent inhabitants today.
