Gildaro (pronounced gill-DARR-oh) is a city in Erenon, located along the Thura River on the border with Forloroth & Valadhel. Though largely abandoned during the crisis of the plagues, the city had already begun to be repopulated even before the spread of Sircathe Wriys' proclamations calling for the resettlement of the region.

After forces loyal to Wriys began to appear in Gildaro around Y9970*, the governors of Forloroth & Valadhel sent a military detachment across the river into the city. Unwilling to allow unfriendly control of one of the few major settlements along the border, the governors of the United Provinces determined it was better to stretch the limits of their neutrality in Erenon than risk the consequences of letting Wriys spread his influence unchecked. Since Y9971* Gildaro has been under nominal military control, though in practice the day to day life of the city remains under the control of the local council.

The city is a very typical Erenite community in architecture and layout. Close-set buildings of stone and wood construction line well-planned streets, spreading outward from a central park. Piers line the riverbank, used for fishing, travel, and trade up and down the Thura River.
