Ametrenia (pronounced am-ah-TRIN-ee-ah) is a small city in the Darklands beneath the Sea of Ersas. Built within a massive, towering geode, the homes and other buildings of Ametrenia are nestled amongst giant purple and blue crystals. Magical lights throughout Ametrenia reflect and refract a dazzling array of colors across the inside of the geode.
Ametrenia's geode was not formed in the Material Plane, but rather grew within the Plane of Earth and was then transported across planar boundaries through a tear. Discovered by Selein Whitestone in Y9942*, a small community soon grew within. By the time Selein attained the status of a hero-goddess, the Ametrenians already viewed her as their leader.
Ametrenia is widely seen as a safe city in the Darklands for both surface dwellers and denizens of the depths. The inhabitants of the community are roughly evenly split between dwarves, mongrelmen, munavri, and svirfneblins.
Selein's primary temple and most of her clerics are located within Ametrenia.
