The Ishtaran pantheon is a group of deities worshiped primarily by the inhabitants of Ishtar. These gods are entirely ascended deities, having once been mortal before becoming minor gods. Far more specific in domains and areas of concern than higher deities, they are nonetheless fully divine. Unlike the hero-gods, the gods of the Ishtaran pantheon are not merely mortals with a divine spark.
In addition to their areas of concern, all Ishtaran deities are associated with a particular region of the nation. Usually this is the area the god was from when they were still mortal, but this is not always the case. A god is likely to have most of their followers in this region of patronage, but their worship is not limited geographically.
Most gods of the Ishtaran pantheon have small realms within various outer planes.
