At times they form immense tsunamis that crash against the Shemshelen Mountains, slowly grinding down the peaks. The exact mechanism that drives this motion is unknown.
Both the eusarrag and the wind-traders alike avoid the Sea of Sand as much as possible. Those unprepared can quickly meet their end as they are drawn downwards into the sand, suffocating as they sink and their bodies are churned by the waves. Still, some venture into the sea in search of stonewells for use elsewhere in the Sarrag.
