Shining Sands is an Akwarai dwarven clan. Well-known and respected, the clan has a presence across the southwestern Sangora Desolation, but is especially commonly found around the Three Saviors of Sahramina. Most members of the clan find work as caravaneers or guides in the desert.
Traditionally, the walking staves given to all Shining Sands children have used iron cores worked from metal obtained from a single meteorite that fell in the Keded many centuries ago. With the usable ore from the meteorite almost depleted, the Shining Sands began searching for a new source of material for their staves. They found this in Y9976* when a group of adventurers brought a recently fallen meteorite to their temporary camp near Yarma.
Unlike most other Akwarai clans, Shining Sands dwarves tend to form caravans almost entirely within their own clan.
