Tyricus (pronounced TEE-reh-cuse) is the capital of the Hellean nation of Halakros. Located in the sparsely populated forested regions of the kingdom, Tyricus was first established as an isolated royal estate, and only later transitioned to its current status as administrative capital. The monarchy and their retinues are central to life in Tyricus - the city has few inhabitants who do not play some role in ensuring life in the royal palace continues.

Tyricus is well-fortified, and the tall stone walls around the city, shaped like that of an oversized star fort, are regularly patrolled. A large forested reserve that is allowed to grow wild surrounds the city - outside of hunts sponsored by the monarchy, none are allowed to disturb the dense forest. Tyricus can be accessed from a single road that runs south to Tocra. Inside the city the roads are planned in a grid pattern within the enclosing walls. The royal palaces, temples, gardens, and a large bathhouse are located in the center, with barracks, houses, and other structures adjacent. Tyricus is one of the few cities in Halakros to have running water, fed by underground cisterns that are themselves fed by an aqueduct from the east.
