Broken Scimitar is a Tarkuusan military outpost on the Skeleton Coast near the Sun Refuge. Built in Y9408*, about five centuries after the first arrival of the crusaders of Harinna, the fort consists of four massive concentric earthwork rings, with a maze of underground tunnels connecting subterranean chambers.

From the highest point in Harinna's Hold, the crusaders can see Broken Scimitar on the horizon, a constant reminder of what they fight against. The attacks they occasionally send against the fort are a minor annoyance to Tarkuus, which only maintains the outpost to keep an eye on the crusader state.
