Vita (pronounced VEE-tah) of the Salonius dynasty was the queen of Viridia from Y9402* until her death in Y9422*. Following the ambitious military campaigns of her father, Avus IV, Vita inherited an unstable and overextended realm. By Y9410*, the situation had become untenable, and Vita ordered the withdrawal of the legions to the border of Dominion prior to Avus' reign.

Vita faced opposition from the senate her entire reign. Many senatorial families had greatly benefited from Viridia's expansion, as quite a few had been granted direct control of parts of the new territories. Even among those that hadn't, the idea of withdrawing was seen as an untenable loss of prestige and honor. Through it all, Vita was able to deftly forge alliances within the senate and prevent any discontentment from escalating.

Despite Vita's diplomatic skills, these were not shared by her son Niuso who took the throne after her death, and the dynasty was removed from power shortly afterward.
