Eiran (pronounced EYE-ren) is a ghoul resident of the Darklands city of Kar-Durun and a worker in the city's lazurite mines. Eiran was involved in a hostage situation in Y9975^* after the ghoul workers fell short of their quotas and Rizoel Ganberth, the mine's owner, refused to pay them. Led by Eiran, the ghouls captured Ganberth and restrained him amongst a significant supply of lazurite within the warehouse that serves as the mine's entrance. This situation was eventually resolved peacefully by a group of adventurers, who convinced Ganberth to relinquish control of the mines to the ghouls.

Eiran has learned to craft some types of constructs. He built a number of necrophidi to defend the warehouse during the standoff, but eventually lost control of them. Eiran usually wears a set of mail-like armor constructed of small fragments of bone.
