Vicaze

Vicaze (pronounced vih-CAH-zay) is an island under the control of the Dawnflower Refuge. The island is a rocky outcropping in the sea with craggy shorelines - the lack of usable interior land inhibits habitation. Watchtowers are staffed by the Sarenites, tasked with keeping an eye on the mainland. Unlike Madisa, the southern island controlled by the Refuge, Vicaze has no permanent population. Prior to the arrival of the Sarenites the island was occasionally home to a transient population of marooned or shipwrecked sailors, but they rarely remained for long.
