Sorqan Shira (pronounced SORE-kan SHE-rah) is the Evocation Pillar of Laniobriga, one of the magical rulers of that nation. Shira is a gnomish master of magical destruction, with a particular flair for fire. She is the youngest Pillar and the one that most recently took their role. She actively guides and instructs the students at the Carpetani Institute of Evocation in Laxobre, but also sometimes includes them in her feuding with the other Pillars. Shira grew up in Khovd, a major city in the Aban Steppe, before relocating to Laniobriga.
