Tauraq (pronounced TORE-okk) is a small city on the islands of the Western Palisades west of Hinthial and the Cradle. Originally settled in the middle of the tenth millennium by tengu seafarers from Meklaw, small numbers of Hinthialite elves have also moved to the city in the centuries since.
The inhabitants of Tauraq do frequent trade with Hinthial, often sending forth their ships to nearby coastal cities on the mainland like Tarsminas and Alumnathe. Less often they make the journey north to Meklaw, typically staying near to the coast and resupplying at ports like Uzukkin, Ragged Rocks, and Nulborokz along the way.
