Ne-Ta (pronounced NEH-TAH) (in Sea-Speak, "where authority rests") was once the capital of the great empire of Rashareka. Along with all other settlements on the Old Twins, the city was rapidly depopulated after the demon invasions of the archipelago began in Y9266*. While several attempts at resettlement were made in the few years after the first invasion, today Ne-Ta is empty, its immense palaces crumbling and its promenades and parade routes overgrown.
