The Union of Dungeon Delvers is a group of adventurers who have begun organizing for better conditions for their profession. While adventuring is an inherently dangerous and risky endeavor, the adventurer's guilds of Viridia have attracted something of a reputation for needlessly jeopardizing those for whom they provide bounties and contracts.

The Viridian adventurer's guild is a state-sponsored organization, mostly seen by Viridian administrators as a way to keep bandits, dangerous creatures, and other threats in check without involving the military or other expensive, potentially politically risky means. This careless outlook towards those they employ has led many adventurers into situations in which they were not provided necessary information to complete their tasks while minimizing risks. In particular, the Vitheodan governor's use of adventurer's guild contracts to resolve the disputes of Hkarzdan loyalists has led to many adventurers, all except those who could not afford to do so, to refuse to work with that particular provincial branch of the guild entirely.

As adventuring tends to be rather feast or famine in nature, with some barely scraping by fighting minor threats and others making groundbreaking discoveries and combating terrible monsters, the Union has seen mixed interest. Those that desire the Union the most by and large lack the influence and political backing to make it relevant, while well-off adventurers can simply disregard the adventurer's guilds that run counter to their interests.
