Leadskin

In colloquial parlance, leadskins are clothing with a high density of lead thread woven into the fabric. Worn primarily by spies, assassins, and others who would rather remain discrete, this clothing is very heavy but allows the wearer to remain hidden from Detect spells. Leadskins are usually designed to be visually indistinguishable from normal outfits, and provide no additional protection over wearing a typical set of clothing.

In some places, notably including Viridia, the manufacture, sale, and possession of leadskins are banned for public safety concerns. The janissaries, however, are known to wear them frequently.
