Harpasus (pronounced har-PASS-us) is a major city in the Hellean nation of Halakros. The city has the status of a "free port", and is therefore without most feudal obligations. The largest shipyards in Hellea are located in Harpasus, busy year-round producing galleys for both mercantile and military use. Wood harvested within the mountains of southern Hellea is floated down the Ocalea River to the port, where it is then processed before reaching the shipyards.

The ruler of Harpasus, Baron Ocytos Kimon, has spent his reign attempting to modernize the city, in an effort to give it the opportunity to compete with the major ports of the Ersas city-states. The city has a reputation as being much more forward-thinking than many of those elsewhere in Halakros, something that has begun to cause tensions with Kimon's peers.
