Aralak (pronounced ARR-ah-lock) is a tengu pirate and captain of the At Least We're Not Cultists. Born in a small company town in Briathone sometime around Y9935*, Aralak fled the colony as a young adult, but not before picking up a strong dislike for the Nivarian Paradise Company and other Tirionite conglomerates. After making her way to Meklaw, she joined a pirate crew. Aralak gained control of her own ship only a few short years later.

As a pirate, Aralak has a preference for preying on the ships under the control or employ of the Tirionite conglomerates, and the Nivarian Paradise Company in particular. Contracted ships are usually left to go in peace after turning over their cargo, but she attempts to capture military vessels whenever possible. Once removed of their crew, Aralak then sells these ships at cheap prices to other pirates, on the condition they disrupt company operations whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Aralak and her crew are local celebrities in the Meklovian city of Paro, where they frequently make port. She gives out her ill-gotten wealth freely to the people of the city, largely out of a sense of indebtedness and obligation - Paro was the first city in which Aralak stepped foot after leaving Briathone, and she considers her current success to be entirely due to the opportunities given to her in the rough and tumble port.
