Ystavalokaarme (pronounced yah-stah-vah-low-KAR-may) is the leader of the Sahraminan town of Meharrize. Even by the standards of brass dragons, Ystavalokaarme, or Stava as she lets people call her, is particularly gregarious. Visitors frequently find themselves in hours-long conversations with the dragon; even if the topics of discussion are mundane or boring, Stava is more than happy to continue talking for as long as her guests are around.
Some merchant caravans specifically wait to resupply until they reach Meharrize, as Stava is very willing to cut deals for supplies, or even give them out for free at times.
Ystavalokaarme has an inconsistent relationship with Davulacomiexi, the "king" of Kebili - sometimes friends and sometimes rivals. Though Davulacomiexi looks down upon Ystavalokaarme’s outgoing nature and has a general dislike of metallic dragons, he has few other possible companions. Tensions between them do occasionally flare up, but these are dulled by Davulacomiexi’s inability to fight much at all - he greatly injured his wings when young and never fully recovered (he refuses to say the cause). When necessary, Zerzura serves as intermediaries to settle disputes. Ystavalokaarme views their relationship as friendly rivals, while, at least outwardly, Davulacomiexi prefers to think of the other dragon as an errant subject.
