The Niumean League (pronounced nigh-ooh-MAY-an) was a confederation of Hellean city-states that existed between Y7721* and Y8330*. It was the largest such confederation until the formation of the Halakran League five centuries later, at its peak encompassing all major communities along the Evenus River and its tributaries, as well as some cities along the coast of the Gulf of Teneucia.

The Niumean League, like most alliances of city-states on the Hellean peninsula, was always bound together far more by fear of mutual threats - Iaramnae, in particular - than by shared political interests. The League disintegrated after attempts by Niumea to centralize it until the city-state's rule met stiff resistance.
