Beliran (pronounced BEH-lih-rahn) is the largest city in Koamun. Like most of the remaining settlements on the Wrathpeaks, it is subterranean, built in winding tunnels carved into the volcanic rock for protection from the harsh volcanic landscape above. Unusually amongst Koamun communities, Beliran has a port, though it too is subterranean. Because of this it sees far more visitors than most of the surrounding settlements, most of whom travel across the Bay of Bianti from Sangiran or Kintaka. Others, such as the Island King dwarves of Emperor's Island, come from much farther away, drawn by the city's bustling trade in artificial diamonds and the volcanic pumice used to build their stonekeels.
