Hayasa-An (pronounced high-AH-sah-AHN) is a city in Pasuhalta & Kamman, formerly within the territory of the Viridian province of Pashaltia. Much of the city's pre-Viridian monumental architecture remains intact, its three great stone gates, now freestanding without their original walls, a particular source of pride to Hayasa-An's inhabitants. Each gate is flanked by stone lions with human heads in their mouths - though their plinths once bore inscriptions in a now-lost language related to Chaskan, they were intentionally defaced sometime soon after the Viridian legions first entered the city millennia ago.
Around Hayasa-An is a relatively sparsely populated steppe landscape, dotted with the occasional farming village and rock outcropping.
