Massalia (pronounced mah-SAH-lee-ah) is a small city north of the Phiora Sea, inland from the coast between the Garen River and River Athea. Though first settled by Hellean colonists several millennia ago, many of its modern-day inhabitants are, or are descended from, Talamite refugees who fled the war of independence with Koritan - the city's population has swelled significantly in the last half century. These new arrivals have found themselves in tension with some of the centaur tribes that live in the surrounding grasslands, who are none too keen at the farms now encroaching on their ancestral hunting lands.
