The Niumean League (pronounced nigh-ooh-MAY-an) was a confederation of Hellean city-states that existed between Y7721* and Y8330*. It was the largest such confederation until the formation of the Halakran League five centuries later.
The Niumean League, like most alliances of city-states on the Hellean peninsula, was always bound together far more by fear of mutual threats - Iaramnae, in particular - than by shared political interests. The League disintegrated after attempts by Niumea to centralize it until the city-state's rule met stiff resistance.
