Matrun is a town in southern Akhom. Like most settlements in Akhom, its population collapsed following the Deluge as most of its former residents fled to Khapesh, Rudamun, or elsewhere. Today its ruins are inhabited, and scavenged, by several tribes of Ku-Hakkara gnolls who crossed the Shedet Hills into the more temperate lands out of the Taizzan Expanse.
