The Hruz clan (pronounced h-ROOZ) was an orcish clan. Originally hailing from Druzda, in the ninety-seventh century the clan migrated east into the Aban Steppe where they founded the Moon Khanate. All seven khans of this tumultuous and short-lived nation, ruling from Y9623* to Y9710*, were members of the Hruz clan. These rulers, and indeed the clan as a whole, had reputations as strong-willed figures who were quick to act in violence in order to bring their subjects in line.
After a raid in Y9710* by the nomadic targai destroyed Shar Xai, the capital of their khanate, the Hruz clan scattered. Some found their way back west to Druzda, where they assimilated into other orcish clans, while others traveled farther east onto the steppe, either resettling in villages and cities or joining existing nomadic groups.
The banner used by the Hruz clan depicted a moon hanging above a wolf's head in profile.
