Ani Croto (pronounced AH-nee CROW-tow), sometimes referred to as the Liarbird, is a tengu outlaw, pirate, and captain of the More Enthusiasm Than Talent. Though he spent his early life in the Western Coast near the city of Gullport, today Croto uses the Meklovian port of Omanqac as a base of operations for his raids against the towns along the western coast of Hellea. Though he and his crew primarily target small villages in the Halakran League or Ephardia, Croto strikes the castle-homes of the Philiraki giants whenever feasible, as he has an particular appreciation for the oversized trinkets of their residents. His ship is outfitted with a thunder drum stolen from a manor near Thyella - Croto derives great joy from using this as a taunt when fleeing other giants.
