The Hero's Palace is a fortified palace in the city of Razivia that serves as both the center of government in Razivia and the resting place for the nation's greatest soldiers.
Hero's Palace is a grandiose structure, its many towers capped in onion domes. Its central tower houses a grand hall, a large open space that stretches the entire height of the tower. The building sits in an open plaza, surrounded by tall fortified walls. This plaza is often used for parades and other ceremonial occasions.
The military government of Razivia meets in Hero's Palace, and the fortress serves as the center of the Razivian state. The complex is well-guarded - while the uniforms the guards wear might be excessively decorative and elaborate, giving them an appearance of being merely ceremonial, they are all highly trained and very capable should the need arise.
Individuals who have served in the Razivian military with particular distinction are laid to rest within the Hero's Palace. New arrivals of the deceased lay in caskets in the palace's grand hall for a time, to allow visitors to pay their respects, before their bodies are removed, cremated, and interred in the walls. Particularly noteworthy individuals, the eponymous heroes of the palace, have special sarcophagi built for them, which remain in the grand hall at all times.
