Badara

From gronkfinder

A badara (pronounced bah-DAH-rah) is a type of long-bladed folding knife, popular throughout the Chaska Sea as both a tool and a weapon. Often carried by sailors, it is particularly favored in the port cities of the Western Coast, where restrictions on weapons like swords have have led to the adoption of the badara instead, as it is long enough to serve in much the same role.

A typical badara has a blade 15 to 24 inches in length, most often steel, iron, or bronze, with a bone, antler, or wood handle of the same length. Smaller badara are occasionally used as concealed weapons. Those manufactured by Korymban weaponsmiths are widely regarded as the finest, but they are produced all across the lands around the western Chaska Sea.
