'''Vardiholm''' {{Pronunciation|VAR-deh-holm}} is a village in northern [[Rothurland]] on the southern coast of the easternmost of the [[Svell Islands]]. It is by far the largest settlement on the archipelago, as nearly all who live on the islands but not in Vardiholm are nomadic. Used by [[Skoglar Twice-Cursed]] as the capital of his [[jarl|jarldom]], if it were not for this role few would travel to such a remote and frigid town. Though Skoglar's longhouse is constructed in typical Rothurlandic styles, most other structures in Vardiholm are instead skin tents made of whalebone and skin tents with ice and snow as insulation, more typical of such a northerly and tree-less location.
