'''Ratna''' {{Pronunciation|RAHT-nah}} is an [[orduri]] who regularly travels the [[Aban Steppe]], particularly along the northern stretches of the [[Hundred Days Road]]. In {{Year|6976}} she and her apprentice [[Yaldru]] were attacked by members of the [[Ilald]], a tribe that had turned to [[necromancy]], as the two orduri were carrying messages telling of the tribe's crimes. Though the attack left Yaldru dead and Ratna terribly injured, she was discovered by a caravan along the Hundred Days Road and helped back to health. After the caravan aided her by punishing the Ilald, Ratna accompanied them east for some time, at least until learning of the necromantic item they carried. Unwilling to ignore her principles but still respecting the caravan for saving her life, she departed peacefully though with a threat should their paths cross again.
