'''Palatarn''' {{Pronunciation|PAH-lah-tarn}} is a city within the Pasuhaltan half of [[Pasuhalta & Kamman]]. During the centuries in which [[Viridia]] controlled the United Provinces it was known as '''Pala''', but as with many other cities it reverted back to its local name shortly after independence was declared in {{Year|6616}}.

Located on the northern shores of [[Mele's Lake]], Palatarn is not far from the Pasuhaltan capital of [[Marrata]]. Though much smaller than the capital, it nonetheless is an important regional center, with its governors traditionally staunch allies of the high prince. The current ruler of Palatarn, [[Harashkial]], has shown no signs of breaking this trend, and in return has been appointed as nishili, a role roughly akin to that of a general, during much of her tenure as governor.
